What We Cover: Review of your denial notice, determination letter, or separation documents. Analysis of your eligibility under Nevada law — voluntary quit, misconduct, availability, and base period issues. Appeal preparation: what to say, what evidence to gather, how the hearing works. DETR Claimant Self-Service portal navigation and weekly certification guidance. Identification of deadlines and required actions specific to your case. Where non-attorney representation may be permitted under Nevada law, discussion of appropriate support options.

Common Situations: You were denied benefits and the notice says you quit voluntarily — but you were forced out. You were terminated and DETR says it was misconduct — but you disagree. You received an overpayment notice and do not understand why. Your appeal hearing is in 10 days and you do not know how to prepare. Your employer contested your claim and you need to respond.

Individual Session: $275 (60 minutes) — Includes document review, situation analysis, and written action plan.

Employers facing unemployment claims need to respond accurately and on time. A missed deadline or incomplete response can result in charges to your experience rating and increased tax obligations that could have been avoided.

What We Cover: Review of the claim notice and your response obligations. Analysis of the separation circumstances — was documentation sufficient? Response drafting strategy to present the strongest defensible position. Appeal hearing preparation if the initial determination went against you. Review of your termination and documentation practices to reduce future exposure. Experience rating impact analysis — what this claim costs you if you lose.

Common Situations: A former employee filed a claim and you need to respond within 10 days. DETR ruled in the claimant’s favor and you want to appeal. You are planning a reduction in force and want to understand the UI implications before you act. Your experience rating is climbing and you want to understand why. You terminated an employee and the file is thin — how do you respond?

Employer Session: $375 (60 minutes) — Includes claim review, response strategy, and documentation assessment.

What to Expect

Before your session: You will receive an intake form asking for basic information about your situation and any documents you have. Upload these before the session so we can review them in advance.

During your session: We review your documents together, analyze your situation under Nevada unemployment law, identify your strongest arguments and potential weaknesses, and build a specific action plan with deadlines.

After your session: You receive a written summary of your action plan, including what to file, when to file it, what evidence to gather, and what to expect next.
